This page will be all about my favorite flowers. As you can probably tell from the page colors, my favorite color is purple. So, it shouldn’t surprise you that my favorite flowers are also purple, like the echinacea and the violet.
Above, you will find a picture of the echinacea, or purple coneflower. This flower was used by Native Americans as a remedy and preventative for the common cold. People still take echinacea extracts today to help them prevent and cure colds. The flower frequently can be found growing along the roadsides of the major highways in Kansas, my home state. Isn’t it a pretty purple?
